The Rooted Self was founded in 2025 in Minnesota, born of a simple yet deeply held belief: that healing doesn't always require a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or an hour spent talking about your feelings.
As a licensed mental health professional, Jessie had spent years witnessing the profound impact of therapy. Talk therapy works. It changes lives. But it also has limits, and not everyone who needs healing wants or needs traditional psychotherapy. Some people have already done the therapy. Some people aren't ready for it. And some people are simply looking for something that works in a different register; something that meets the body where it is, works with the energy that moves through all of us, and helps the nervous system find its way back to calm without having to put everything into words first.
That's why The Rooted Self exists.
Based in New Hope, MN, The Rooted Self offers Reiki energy healing and chakra balancing for people who are ready to feel grounded, balanced, and rooted back in themselves.
