Your body already knows what it needs.
Sometimes it just needs different support.

You've done the therapy, the journaling, the self-help deep dives, and something still hasn't moved. You're not broken, you might just need a different door.

Reiki & Energy Healing in New Hope, MN

Here's the honest answer: your body holds more than your mind has words for.

Stress, anxiety, burnout, grief — these don't just live in our thoughts. They live in our bodies, in our energy field, in the places we hold tension without knowing why. Over time, that energy becomes stuck or stagnant. And when it does, we feel it: as numbness, depletion, tension, disconnection. As that persistent sense of being uprooted from yourself, even when everything looks fine on paper.

Think of it like a tree. When the roots are healthy (deep, clear, well-nourished), the whole system thrives. But when something disrupts that flow, the tree struggles. Not because it's broken, but because it's lost its connection to its own ground.

Energy healing works to restore that connection. Through Reiki, a gentle practice using light touch or hovering hands, we work directly with your body's energy field; clearing what's blocked, balancing your chakras, and supporting your nervous system to finally exhale. To get rooted again.

People come in depleted, anxious, disconnected from themselves. They leave feeling grounded, lighter, and rooted back into their own energy — like they finally exhaled after holding their breath for way too long. Sometimes the shift is subtle. Sometimes it's surprising. Either way, something settles, and that settling is exactly the point.

So what actually is energy healing?

Hi, I’m Jessie

Jessie: a smiling woman with long brown hair, wearing a floral blouse, resting her head on her hand in a cozy indoor setting with a lamp and houseplant in the background.

I didn't come to energy healing from a textbook. I came to it through my own body.

As a licensed therapist, I've spent years working with people in the places where words live: sitting with trauma, nervous system dysregulation, and the deep work of healing. And along the way, something kept showing up that talk therapy alone couldn't fully reach. I felt it in my own Reiki sessions. I felt it in the energetic exchange between myself and clients during Brainspotting (a body-based therapy that works beneath the cognitive, in the places the nervous system holds, and what the mind can't yet name).

I also kept hearing the same thing from people who work with energy: that I had a gift for it. That I should be doing this work. At a certain point, you stop dismissing that and start leaning into it.

I started The Rooted Self because I wanted to meet people in a different kind of space; outside the therapy room, outside the diagnosis, outside the "let's talk about how that makes you feel." A space where healing happens through energy, through the body, through something quieter and older than words.

Just to be clear: this isn't therapy. The Rooted Self is a space for energy healing only: no diagnosing, no treatment plans, no talking it to death. Just you, your energy, and the work of getting rooted again.

Your roots are still there. Sometimes they just need tending.
